What would you do if money was not an issue
*I originally wrote this in my notes app on 2/12/20. These were my thoughts after Kyle & I booked a hotel for Huntington. This is not going to be my original entry, just some parts edited out*. Also the above photo is from my past trip. I am underneath the pier!
If money was not an issue what would you do? I feel like this is a good question to ask, due to the fact that it really allows oneself to express themselves freely. In my opinion when people answer this question, it’s always an answer that brings the most joy.
I don’t know what it is about Huntington. No matter how many times I go, I fall in love with fascination every time. I’m fascinated at how people can afford to live right by the beach. How their day consists of eating at a restaurant, then going to relax on the beach. The sound of the waves, the sunny weather, and the nostalgia from past trips that I have taken. It is the place where it is not too far from home yet so enjoyable. It calms my nerves, it makes me appreciate my life and everyone around me. I just feel so wholesome when I can smell the ocean after a 4 hour drive.
Growing up with a competitive swimming background and being around the pool all my life, I absolutely love the ocean. It does not scare me, the further I can float from the waves, the better.
So what would you like to do if money was not an issue you ask? I think settling down in Huntington in the future would be an amazing venture and milestone. Not some fancy beach front property, but an apartment close enough to the beach. But yes, I would be willing to spend a minimum of $3000 a month if money was not an issue. When I invest into real estate, I could rent this out as an Air B&B for passive income. It would be a hit, no doubt.
I can just imagine having my close friends coming down to hang out. A nice brunch while having a view of the ocean. People watching as you see people strolling down Main Street. Couples having a bite with their dogs accompanied by them sipping out of their water bowl. Californians just seem to know how to enjoy life and that is why it holds a special place in my heart.
